Office of Institutional Advancement

The Office of Institutional Advancement is a comprehensive, full-service operation supporting the University of Dallas in fund raising, development, public relations, alumni relations, and advancement services. The office is an integrated unit, which is designed to meet the needs of all constituents of the University: alumni, parents, friends, corporations, foundations, religious organizations, and others.

The department is led by Ilene Stern, M. Ed., Vice President for Institutional Advancement, with directors heading up each of the aforementioned areas.

The Office of Institutional Advancement provides a range of programs and services, comprehensive in nature which enables the University to raise funds, provide a presence and image locally, regionally and nationally, respond to alumni needs via programs and services for the entire life cycle of our alumni, provide donor stewardship and gift tracking, and provide events and services which increase the presence and visibility of UD.

VICTORY- Belong Believe Become   Phase I
On September 15, 2000 the Art History Building in the Haggerty Arts Village on the campus of the University of Dallas was dedicated. Capital Campaign Chair Ray Wooldridge announced that the University had reached its $25,000,000 Phase I Capital Campaign pledge goal with the receipt of an anonymous gift from an alumni couple, the largest alumni gift ever received by the University. The Campaign goals included the renovation of all dormitories, the building of the University Center, three years of Annual Fund, and the renovation and building of the Haggerty Arts Village.

Setting The Stage
Belong Believe Become   Phase II

The University is poised to publicly kick off Phase II of our Capital Campaign. In the interim period, the campaign will enter its "quiet phase," enabling UD's capital campaign staff to research potential donors and locate thousands of the University's lost alumni who are missing from our database. Approved by UD's Board of Trustees Phase II priorities are as follows:

  • University Center- To consolidate UD's Graduate School of Management and house administrative offices
  • Student life/Fitness Center
  • Endowed Professorships and scholarships for undregraduate and graduate students
  • Rome Campus improvements
  • Dining Hall
  • Athletic Field and  Field House

A number of snack vending machines are electrically operated. There are snack vending machines that are see-through or have fronts which are glass-made. Various snack vending machines can only dispense as little as six or ten types of snacks or it can sell a wide range of snack and beverage choices.
