The primary goal
and mission of the Alumni Relations office is to offer services and programs that benefit
alumni in their lifecycle. We also seek to provide alumni with a lifelong connection to
the University. Some of the events and programs sponsored by our office include: Yall
Come Back, UDs Reunion and Homecoming celebration; the Distinguished Alumni
Award; and alumni travel programs such as Momento di Euforia, Roma Reunion in
June 2001.
In May 2002, eight classes will return to UD to
celebrate their reunion: 1962, 1967, 1972, 1977, 1982, 1987, 1992,
and 1997.
The University of Dallas Alumni Association (UDAA), led
by the National Alumni Board (NAB), represents
former students of the Constantin College, the Braniff School of Liberal Arts, and the
Graduate School of Management.
Under the leadership of the NAB, new traditions
and initiatives are being established. The UD Young Alumni program
was established in September 2000 to promote events and programs targeting alumni from
1990-2000. There is an ongoing effort to charter local and international chapters.
UDCrusader.net,
our online community provides alumni with a UD home on the web. Additionally, the Alumni
Groundhog tradition has been revived and business networking events and happy hours
continue to provide alumni with a venue to socialize and network among themselves.
Alumni giving to the Annual Fund creates
the "margin of excellence" that sets UD apart and is visible throughout campus
in our student population, our faculty and our programs.
