Stocks mixed in early trading
Stocks advanced tentatively today, one day after a surprise interest rate cut set off a triple-digit rally on Wall Street.
In the first hour of trading, the Dow Jones industrial average was up 2.34 at 10,618.17, maintaining its 399-point gain from Wednesday's trading.
