The following dates and times are regularly scheduled meetings and do not include additional meetings that may be called by the Board, Commission, or Committee.  For additional information please contact the City Secretary's office at 972-442-8100.

Zoning Board of Adjustments
Membership:    5 members and 2 alternates
Meets: Board meets on an "as needed" basis
Location: City Council Chambers - 2000 State Highway 78 North

The Board meets to consider applications for variances to zoning ordinance regulations.  The board hears appeals regarding determinations of the Zoning Administrator, and considers action concerning non-conforming uses.
Staff Liaison:  Planning Director, Development Services

 

Library Board
Membership:    7 member board
Meets: 2nd Monday Monthly
Location: Bluebonnet Room - Smith Public Library - 800 Thomas

The Board acts as an advisory board to Council with regard to library services and programs.
Staff Liaison:  Library Director

 

Parks and Recreation Board
Membership:    7 member board
Meets: 4th Monday of every month
Location: Municipal Complex - Council Conference Room - 2000 State Hwy. 78 N

The Board acts as an advisory board to the Council with regard to acquisitions, maintenance, operation and use of parks, playgrounds, and open spaces.
Staff Liaison:  Assistance City Manager & Parks & Recreation Superintendent

 

Construction Code Board
Membership:    7 member board
Meets: As needed
Location: Municipal Complex - Council Chambers - 2000 State Hwy. 78 N

The Board is designed to review building code requirements.  Plumbing, contractor, and electrical experience helpful.
Staff Liaison:  Building Official

 

Ambulance Advisory Board
Membership:    5 member board
Meets: Quarterly or as needed
Location: Municipal Complex - Council Conference Room - 2000 State Hwy. 78 N

The Board acts as an advisory board to Council with regard to the community ambulance services and issues involving public safety.
Staff Liaison:  Fire Chief

 

Planning and Zoning Commission
Membership:    7 member board
Meets: 1st and 3rd Tuesday monthly
Location: Municipal Complex - Council Chambers  - 2000 State Hwy. 78 N

The Commission is charged with the review of rezoning applications, subdivision plats and site plans, and to advise Council regarding comprehensive planning issues.
Staff Liaison:  Planning Director, Development Services

 

Wylie Economic Development Corporation Board
Membership:    5 member board
Meets: 3rd Tuesday of each month

The Board makes recommendations to Council regarding funding priorities to assist new, prospective and existing businesses.
Staff Liaison:  Mr. Sam Satterwhite, Executive Director of Economic Development

A number of snack vending machines are electrically operated. There are snack vending machines that are see-through or have fronts which are glass-made. Various snack vending machines can only dispense as little as six or ten types of snacks or it can sell a wide range of snack and beverage choices.
