Re: Boards & Commissions Application Process
To apply online please go to the Boards & Commissions Application

The City of Wylie is currently seeking individuals who are dedicated to our community and committed toward building our future to serve on the City’s standing Boards, Commissions and Committees.

All applicants are asked to complete an application form for submittal to the City Secretary’s office on or before the May 11, 2001 deadline. Applications are available at City Hall in the Utility Billing Office, Development Services, and the City Secretary’s Office. You may also submit an application online through our website at www.ci.wylie.tx.us . An Applicants reception will be held on May 8th for those interested in becoming a part of our city Boards and Commissions. This is an opportunity for prospective members to visit informally with city staff and council and perhaps learn more about how they might serve the community. Application forms will be available for those interested in applying.

Those who do apply will be invited to participate in the interview process conducted by our three member Council Panel. These interviews are informal and provide an excellent opportunity for applicants to visit informally with the Council panel.

Appointments will be made in June with new and reappointed members taking their place at their first board/commission meeting in July. All appointments are at the discretion of Council.

We sincerely hope that this process will allow you the opportunity to learn more about City Boards, Commissions and Committees and at the same time, your City of Wylie staff, Council and Community.

If you have any questions regarding this process, you may contact Barbara Salinas at 972/442-8103 or ; or Aimee Nemer at 972/442-8100 or .
