VA
1-Stop Service Inquiry Page

Here's Your Chance to Ask Us Questions!

Welcome to the Department of Veterans Affairs 1-Stop Service Inquiry Page! From this page you can make an electronic inquiry directly to the VA on any of a number of issues. If you are unable to find an area to satisfy your question, please call the VA toll-free number, 1-800-827-1000. Also, you may contact your local VA office.

As a general rule, you should direct specific, claim-related inquiries to the regional office, hospital, or cemetery that is involved with your claim. The offices receiving the inquiries posted on this page generally cannot intervene in normal agency procedures. In most cases, we will forward your inquiry to the office already handling your claim. However, when we can answer an inquiry directly, we will respond in the shortest time possible.

Addressing your inquiry to the proper office will help us to reply as quickly as possible. For example, if an inquiry on education benefits is sent to the wrong office, it may go through several hand-offs before it arrives at the proper office. Each hand-off may cause an additional delay in responding promptly. You may send us E-mail inquiries; however, you should exercise discretion in sending sensitive materials via E-mail. It may be best to send any sensitive communications by regular mail. Please consider how sensitive the information is to both you and the subject(s) of your inquiry.

Before you ask us your question, chances are someone else has already asked it. So please check these Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) first. Thank you.
