SEE Less Trash Program

SEE LogoThe North Central Texas region generates more than 6 million tons of solid waste each year, of which approximately 10 percent is recycled and the remainder landfilled by a variety of public and private agencies.

The designated regional municipal solid waste planning agency, the North Central Texas Council of Governments (NCTCOG) has developed a set of regional strategies for waste minimization, reuse/recycling, composting, disposal of household hazardous waste and used oil and prevention of illegal dumping. NCTCOG, through its Resource Conservation Council, has prepared the SEE Less Trash Regional Solid Waste Management Plan for North Central Texas, which guides solid waste activities and decisions throughout the North Central Texas region. This document is being reviewed by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (formerly the TNRCC). LEARN MORE...
