WFAA.com's team of reporters and editors deliver breaking local news throughout

your thoughts on the polls and message boards. You are also likely to
see additional video that never made it on the air.
2. I've been looking on your Web site trying to find
something which I saw on Channel 8. Where is it?
A: While we try our best to publish a great deal of what appears

We also must make editorial judgments to allocate our WFAA.com resources
so that our visitors will find a well-rounded Web site.
That being said, here are some tips for finding what you are looking for:

watch video?

format.

button on your browser. If this doesn't work, go to the top of your browser
and pull down the "Tools" menu and go to "Internet Options". Then, on

newsletters I signed up for at WFAA.com. Can you help me?
Versions 4.0 and 5.0 of the AOL mail program don't fully support
"HTML" e-mail nor does AOL allow you to read "HTML" e-mail from the web.

for you to upgrade to AOL's new, fully HTML-compatible version 6.0.

e-mail. In order to read our newsletters in the proper HTML format, it
is necessary for you to upgrade to CompuServe's new, fully HTML-compatible
version 6.0.
7. I am a Lotus Notes user, and I can't read any of
the newsletters I signed up for at WFAA.com. Can you help me?
Lotus Notes 4.0 users can read our "HTML" e-mail newsletters in two
easy steps. Instead of clicking on the Newsletter Icon and hitting the
"Launch" option on the menu, click on the "View" option. By hitting "View"
you will be able to read the newsletters. Lotus Notes version 5.0 is able
to handle all types of e-mail.
8. I have a new e-mail address, and would like to update
my profile. I would like to also begin receiving my newsletters at this

10. Yahoo! is my browser and I don't seem to be receiving
any of the newsletters I subscribed to. Can you help me?
Yahoo! often treats our newsletters as bulk mail (or spam mail). Yahoo!
automatically filters out any bulk mail or spam mail to all intended recipients.
In order to receive your newsletters, you will need to set a filter and
direct your newsletters to your inbox or folder of choice. Here's how:
- Click "Options" on the left side
of the yahoo mail page.
- Under "Mail Management" click
"Filters"
- Click "Create"
- Set the first line to read: "From
header contains the phrase WFAA.com".Be
sure to leave the "Match Case" box unchecked.
- At the "Deliver to:" line, choose
the folder you would like to newsletters to be delivered to. You can
choose "Inbox" or, if you would like to have the newsletters automatically
delivered to another folder, select that folder from the list. Or choose
"New Folder" and create one now.
- Click "Save" when you are finished.
- The next screen will confirm your
filter settings. It should read something like: If "From" contains "WFAA.com"
then deliver to "Inbox".
11. I subscribe to America Online. My web browser
doesn't seem to show some parts of your site. What's the best way to view
your Web site?
The best solution is to download Version 3.0 (keyword: upgrade). The upgrade
is free and versions are available for Windows and Macintosh. Version
3.0 makes your entire Internet surfing sessions more enjoyable since it
is far superior to version 2.x. Also note that AOL "caches", or copies,
our site into its main computers as a way to speed the viewing time of
pages for its members, so you may not necessarily be viewing the most
current news on our site.
12. I'm having trouble reading your site. Graphics don't
seem to work like they should. And the type doesn't display in a completely
readable form. What's wrong?
We have done our best to make this site work with most standard browsers.
But some browser programs have significant differences. There are even
big variations in versions of popular programs. This site is optimized
for Netscape Navigator 4.0, Internet Explorer 4.0 and America Online 3.0.
You can view most of our site with earlier versions of these and other
browsers, but we recommend upgrading your browser to one of these three.
All upgrades available free of charge from Netscape, Microsoft and AOL.
Just follow the directions you find on their sites.
13. I use a Mac computer, and your newsletters appear
as just a bunch of garbled computer code on my screen. Is there a compatibility
problem with your newsletters and the Mac format?
All of our newsletters are completely compatible with both the Mac and
PC formats. The problem is with the html-compatibility of your e-mail
program. Please find your e-mail program in our FAQ's for the solution.
14. I accidentally deleted this week's newsletter
from my inbox before I had a chance to read it. Could you please resend
it to me?
Due to the high volume of e-mail passing through our mail servers hourly,
it is not possible for us to resubmit a newsletter. You might find the
newsletter in your "deleted items" or "trash can" or "recycle bin" folders.
