Program Description

Program Description

  • The North Central Texas Area Agency on Aging (NCT-AAA) provides and coordinates social services for persons who are age 60 and over and live in the following counties: Collin, Denton, Ellis, Erath, Hood, Hunt, Johnson, Kaufman, Navarro, Palo Pinto, Parker, Rockwall, Somervell, and Wise.

    The NCT-AAA’s services are open to all older persons. However, certain programs target those who are frail, low-income, nonwhite, and/or isolated (either socially or geographically).

 

 

 

Enabling Legislation

  • Area agencies on aging form a nationwide network created by the 1973 amendments to the Older Americans Act of 1965. The North Central Texas Area Agency on Aging is one of 28 area agencies on aging in the state of Texas.

 

 

 

Funding Sources

  • The North Central Texas Area Agency on Aging receives funding from the federal government through the Older Americans Act, the State of Texas, and the North Central Texas Council of Governments.

A number of snack vending machines are electrically operated. There are snack vending machines that are see-through or have fronts which are glass-made. Various snack vending machines can only dispense as little as six or ten types of snacks or it can sell a wide range of snack and beverage choices.
