Must have 3 years work experience web design with Windows NT/or Windows 95 and web servers and browsers.

WFAA-TV and Texas Cable News (TXCN) have an immediate opening for a Staff Accountant. This position will be responsible for general accounting functions such as G/L, Credit and Collections, and Fixed Assets Management. You will also assist with the month end closing process, financial statement preparation and reporting and other functions as needed. The right candidate should possess solid analytical, communication and organizational skills. Must have strong computer skills, including proficiency in Excel, Word, and Windows 98. A college degree in Accounting or Finance is needed with a minimum of two years of general accounting experience necessary.

Gathers, investigates, logs and writes news stories, special reports, and series to be used on WFAA news programs and news specials. Responsible for developing news sources in special areas of interest. Responsible for live reports and spot news and writing scripts. Keeps abreast of local, national and world news by reading local newspapers, magazines, and by monitoring the WFAA newscasts and other stations. Minimum 3-5 years reporting and/or producing experience in a medium to major market, with a college degree in journalism or related field. Must have the ability to work under pressure with assigned deadline. Ability to interact productively and positively with fellow employees. Should have good verbal abilities. Must be assertive.
