Menu tweaks

El Pescador Mexican Grill (Three 1/2 stars ) has been getting a menu tune-up courtesy of nationally recognized seafood specialist Chris Svalesen, formerly of Fish in Dallas.

Bass magic: Pan roasted Chilean sea bass in adobo had a charred, crisp crust and a white, tremblingly tender interior. It's served with chipotle mashed potatoes and a perky relish.

Lunch treat: Fish flautas ($5.95) combine chunks of whitefish with bell pepper and subtle marinated onions.

Price: Entrees $12.95 to $26.95

Details: 6150 Frankford Road (at Preston); 972-267-3722
