The film will be shown at 7 p.m. Saturday at Pan African Connection Bookstore and Resource Center, 612 E. Jefferson Blvd. A member of Ms. Shakur's national support group will participate in the discussion.

Media interviews with Ms. Shakur, who was born Joanne Chesimard, were broadcast nationally in recent years. She says she is a fugitive from political persecution.

The film, made by African-Cuban independent filmmaker Gloria Rolando, portrays women as effective warriors in battle. Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for children younger than 12. To inquire, call 214-421-9828.
