Disappearing trade: Fewer and fewer seeking career in sausage making
They are bygone tradesmen, antique artisan-merchants like proprietors of hardware stores on courthouse squares, independent bookshops and mom-and-pop groceries: Sausage makers. Traditional wurstmeisters like David Harris are becoming a culinary anachronism, craftsmen like the horned lizard that are fading into Texas history.

Home sales strong in Richardson despite weak economy
A slow economy and a host of layoff announcements have yet to put a significant dent in Richardson's new home sales, builders say. The city issued permits for 25 homes in June and has approved construction of 321 houses since the fiscal year began in October. That's down slightly from 332 homes approved during the same period last fiscal year.
