Nonprofits' Wish List
12/11/99
Dallas-area nonprofit organizations have shared their hearts' desire with us, responding to the Today section's call to publish their groups' needs in our 13th annual Wish List. Whether the requests be for books and computers to challenge the mind, for food to nourish the body, or for volunteers to rekindle the spirit, our hope is to bring people together in this season of giving.
The Today section publishes the Wish List as a public service. We do not print requests for money because, as a business, we are prohibited from directly soliciting funding. The Dallas Morning News Charities does sponsor an annual campaign, but it is separate from the newspaper and has a group of pre-selected organizations that benefit.
The deadline for submitting Wish List coupons was Dec. 1. Production deadlines do not allow us to publish forms received after that date. Other requests are not printed on the following pages because of illegible or incomplete information, or because they did not meet the newspaper's criteria for publication.
