Background
Theres nothing better than a springtime picnic in the park,
except when you add a free performance by the Dallas Symphony
Orchestra. For more than 20 years, we have presented this free
outdoor concert series in conjunction with the City of Dallas
Park and Recreation Department and the Office of Cultural Affairs.
Beginning with the Easter Concert at Lee Park, the 6-part series
continues throughout the spring and includes a patriotic Memorial
Day extravaganza. These free outdoor performances have become
an annual tradition in the city. They are a great opportunity
for families to enjoy an exciting evening of music in an informal
setting. Concert-goers are encouraged to bring their blankets
and enjoy the magic of the Dallas Symphony under the stars.
The Dallas Symphony Orchestra does not condone the consumption
of alcoholic beverages on City of Dallas property.
