HBA features custom home in McKinney04/07/2001 This week the Home Builder's Association of Greater Dallas is featuring a European-inspired design by Tim Jackson Custom Homes. Situated on a corner lot, the residence at 1200 Trail Ridge Drive is at Brookside at Winding Creek in McKinney, a community that boasts rolling terrain, trees and a creek. The exterior features stone and stucco, a copper bay window, a wrought-iron front door and a balcony. A porte-cochere with a wrought-iron, automatic gate leads to the motor court and three-car garage with stained, rough cedar garage doors. The entry boasts imported travertine flooring and a curved staircase with metal balustrades and solid oak treads and hand rail. To the left is the formal dining room and to the right is the formal living room with a granite-faced fireplace. Just off the living room is the study, which is appointed with oak raised paneling surrounding the bay window and an abundance of solid oak cabinetry and custom molding. The kitchen features state-of-the-art, stainless-steel appliances, including a five-burner gas cooktop, a self-cleaning double oven, a microwave and a built-in refrigerator. Slab granite countertops with tumbled slate backsplash complement the custom oak cabinetry. Generous countertop space with under-cabinet lighting and a walk-in pantry add to the appeal. To visit from U.S. Highway 75, go west on Eldorado Parkway. Turn right on Hardin Boulevard and left on Winding Brook Drive to the subdivision. Turn left on Trail Ridge Drive to the home on the right.
