| Letters 03/31/2001 True to Sikh spirit
Re: "48 hours" (Religion, March 24). Jeffrey Weiss' article is truly a tribute to the spirit of Sikhs. The author's repertoire without distortion of facts and biases is commendable. Though I am not a Sikh, Sikhs are a diligent and entrepreneur-like tribe, who have embraced the world over with their hard work and dedication, true to the spirit of their religion, which preaches "honorable work and family life" as the key to life.

Stott speaks truth
Re: "Which Jesus are we talking about now?" (Religion, March 17). Thank you, Dallas Morning News, for the column by the Rev. John R.W. Stott. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever (Heb. 13:8). One must adhere to what one believes or not at all (Rom. 12:1-2). It is an act of faith. Thank God for men of truth and people to print it. In our world as we know it, there is a constant God. However you choose to serve him, no gray, just black and white.
the Rev. Leonard Eldridge, Plano
Encouraging article
Re: "Muslims keeping the faith" (39A, March 4). I really enjoyed Kim Horner's article. It is encouraging to other Muslim students in the metroplex to "deepen their religious roots" and be able to practice their faith on campus.
I would first like to thank Kim Horner and encourage her to continue the informative update on Muslim students in DFW. Secondly, please provide more information on Islam and Muslims. The DFW Muslim community is growing rapidly, and it would be beneficial to see the progress.
