Business
Reports
The Better Business Bureau (BBB) collects and reports information
to help prospective buyers make informed decisions in dealing with both
businesses and charitable
organizations.
Where Reports are Maintained
Business Reports are created
and maintained by the BBB office where the business is located.
Information reported includes time in business, complaint history, and
information obtained through special Bureau investigations. Bureaus also
have the option of reporting whether companies are Bureau members, or
participate in any special Bureau programs, such as Alternative
Dispute Resolution or BBBOnLine®.
For additional information about the BBB reporting process, visit the
BBB Help Desk.
Business Reports Online
Some BBB offices do not yet maintain their data online. If you
desire a report from a BBB office that does not appear below, you must
contact the office directly and request a verbal or printed copy of the
report. You can find BBB contact information on our locate
a BBB page.
The BBB is creating a national database of reports -- see National
Information Database -- with an expected completion early in 2001.
In the meantime, many BBB offices maintain their data on separate
online databases.. Below is a list of BBB offices that maintain their
data online. Go to the BBB that is nearest to
the location of the business you are checking on:
