The screenings will take place at The Zone, 3810 Congress Ave., and are for women 35 years and older with no insurance or no health coverage for mammograms. Wellness exams for women will also be available for $20 from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at the Resource Center of Dallas, 4012 Cedar Springs Road. DIABETES DISCUSSION: A free screening and seminar on "Diabetes Information and Self Management Skills" is set for Saturday at Doctors Hospital, 9440 Poppy Drive, West Tower, Suite 206. The event will feature free screenings for participants over 18 years old from 8:30 to 10 a.m., followed by a seminar on self-management of the illness, warning signs, diet, exercise and glucose testing.
BOWEL DISEASE: Local gastroenterology experts and representatives from the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America will present a free education program for inflammatory bowel disease patients and their families. The presentation will take place from 6 to 9 p.m. April 18 at the Renaissance Dallas, 2222 Stemmons Freeway.
