It is our hope to provide users of the State of

and efficiently. This page was created to provide a fundamental understanding of the
features associated with the State of Texas web site. The State of Texas web site, http://www.state.tx.us, is provided as a public service.
The site is managed by the Texas State Technology
Assessment Center (STAC) housed within the Texas
Department of Information Resources (DIR).
Links
While navigating through the State of Texas web site you will find a collection of
resources that link the current page to a new page. These links are maintained by
the State of Texas webmaster but the content being linked to is maintained by a different
entity. This is important to note, especially when you are experiencing difficulty
with links.
A link can be either a graphic or text. You can identify a link on the State of Texas
web page by moving the mouse pointer over the suspected link. When the pointer moves over
an Internet link, the pointer will change to another picture. (The pointer when the mouse
is moved over a link is a hand with a pointing finger.) Basically, anytime your cursor
changes to a pointing hand you have found a link to another page
