By Gary West / The Dallas Morning News

Clocker's Corner takes an inside look at the morning workouts at Lone Star Park. Here is the report of the workouts from Thursday, April 5.

First Final, who was a stakes winner in 1999 but who ran fifth in his debut, showed signs of returning to form with a sharp workout Thursday. He breezed a half-mile in :47.40, running the final quarter-mile in :23.80 and galloping out an additional furlong in 1:01.60.

Look Back worked a half-mile in :48.20 while appearing to have plenty of energy in reserve and galloped out an additional furlong in 1:01.

Studio King, who ran ninth on the turf in his last outing, indicated he could benefit from a return to the main track with a swift five-furlong workout. He stopped the watch at :59.80, giving him the fastest time among the 24 workers at the distance.

Jury Duty Jr. had good half-mile move in :47.80. And Brittsker, who worked five furlongs in 1:00, also looked sharp.
