"PERFORMANCE PRELUDES" ARE PERFECT WAY TO TUNE UP FOR DALLAS SYMPHONY SEASON

FREE DISCUSSION BEFORE EVERY CLASSICAL SERIES CONCERT

Dallas - Listen and laugh with composers and musicologists, learn about the lives and music of the great composers and performers and hear the history behind the concert repertoire.

Performance Preludes, sponsored by the Dallas Symphony Orchestra Guild, offers concert-goers the opportunity to enjoy free discussions at the Meyerson Symphony Center prior to every Classical Series performance. The presentations begin one-hour before the concert - at 7:00 p.m. on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, and at 1:30 p.m. on Sundays. The events are free to ticket-holders and offer an opportunity to learn about an upcoming performance in a relaxed atmosphere in Horchow Hall, directly behind the lower level Meyerson Box Office.

The program is ideal for those just discovering classical music and for those wanting to understand more about classical music. This season's guest speakers include music academicians from Southern Methodist University and the University of North Texas as well as Dallas Symphony Orchestra composer-in-residence Lowell Liebermann.

Remember you never know who's going to drop by the Performance Preludes. Guest soloists, conductors, composers…you won't want to miss a single one!
