Travel Model Development / Traffic Simulation Program Area |
 The Travel Model Development / Traffic Simulation program area is responsible for maintenance and improvements to the mainframe-based and TransCAD-based Dallas-Fort Worth Regional Travel Model (DFWRTM), as well as support of TRANPLAN and TransCAD for use by local governments. The area is also assessing the performance and usability of the Transportation Analysis Simulation System (TRANSIMS), a "next generation" travel forecasting model.
