Mission Statement
The community, faculty, and the administration of Wylie Independent
School District are committed to the belief that the mission of the district
should be to prepare all students to function effectively, successfully,
and productively in our society. This mission is grounded in the belief
that all students can learn and can be successful in learning tasks if
the teaching and learning experiences are meaningful and appropriate. To
this end, the campuses are committed to subscribing to the correlates of
effective schools through their application in the daily operations at
the campus level/
The specific beliefs of the community,
faculty, and administration are as follows:
- That all students can learn,
- That the parents and teachers should be partners in the instructional
process,
- That clearly defined teaching and learning expectations should be communicated
to the community, students and parents
- That a well developed curriculum is the basis for instructional focus,
and
- That all faculty and staff should share the responsibility of teaching
basic skills to all students.
