Benefits and Work Schedules
Following is a summary of work schedules and some of the benefits
available to full-time employees of the Dallas Central Appraisal District. This data is
provided for informational purposes only, and may be changed without notice.
WORK SCHEDULES:
- Over 90% of the Districtss employees work a four day, 40
hour week throughout most of the year. Employees in the Appraisal Divisions as well as
some other positions will work a 4½ day work week during the Appraisal Review Board
period, generally from May 1 through mid July. Certain positions in Customer Service and
Building Services work a five day, 40 hour week year round. Computer Operators work 8 hour
shifts to cover a 7X24 operation. Some divisions may offer flex time programs dependent
upon their individual schedules and business requirements.

- The District makes available and pays the premium
for a Health Maintenance Organization Plan for all full-time employees. The optional Point
of Service Plan gives our employees the option of selecting either an HMO doctor or
another health-care provider at each "point of service."
