Food and Consumer Safety Program
Foodborne illnesses account for more workdays lost nationwide than all
other environmental health issues combined. That is why the primary goal
for the Food Safety Specialists is to routinely inspect food service
establishments to ensure compliance with these codes. The Food Safety
Program staff coordinates with other local municipalities, state and federal
agency's to investigate all suspected cases of confirmed foodborne
illness. The Food and Consumer Safety Program also coordinates with the
Building Inspection Department to review plans of all new facilities and the
remodeling of current retail food establishments. Should you have any questions
regarding a food issue or concerns about a restaurant in Carrollton then please
feel free to contact us at (972) 466-3060 or contact us by .
Multi-Family Inspection Program
The Multi-Family
Inspection Program performs regular inspections at all apartment and
condominium communities, hotel and motels, and respond to housing complaints on
rental homes in Carrollton. The code enforcement officers in this program
enforce the Uniform Housing Code to ensure minimum standards are in place and
that they are maintained for those individuals who choose to rent in the
Carrollton area. Any violations
of the Uniform Housing Code or other city ordinances are addressed to the
property owners and the onsite management. The code enforcement officers sets a
schedule to resolve the problem and abate the violation(s). If you need further
information regarding our Multi-Family Inspection Program or wish to file a
complaint with our division you may contact us at (972) 466-3060 or you may
take this opportunity to
us.
Neighborhood Integrity
Program
The goal of the
Neighborhood Integrity Program is to create and maintain a quality living
environment in the City by taking an active role in code enforcement. Safe,
healthy, attractive and clean surroundings are a part of what makes Carrollton
a good community to live, raise a family, work and retire in. In order to
maintain our residential and commercial neighborhoods, code enforcement
officers from the Environmental Services Department perform regular inspections
of the different neighborhoods and respond to complaints that are called into
our main office. Any violations
that are found are addressed at that time and a reasonable amount of time is
given to the resident or property owner to abate the violation(s) that were
found on their property. It is the goal of code enforcement to gain compliance
and insure that the property is properly maintained in the future. Should you
have any further questions regarding a code enforcement issue or have a concern
about a possible code violation then please contact us at (972) 466-3060 or if
you like you may
us.
