DESCRIPTION of data products
DATA PRODUCTS
There are ten (10) different data products available for sale
to the public as part of the Open Records Act. The data is sold on non-IDRC
cartridge tape in EBCDIC format with a standard label and a blocksize of 32K.
Selected files are available on CD-ROM and are noted in the description. An
order form is available through the Administration department at (214)631-0520.
Each of the available data products are briefly described below and are available
at any time, except as noted:
- The Certified Real Property Tax Roll consists of certified
residential and commercial records excluding commercial child accounts,
for Dallas County and the surrounding counties in which property is split
and is in sequence by account number. Accounts that were in value-in-dispute
at the time of certification (July 25 of each year) are not included in
this file. If requesting CD-ROM, the data is in report format. Price of
data is $325; price of CD-ROM is $115.
- The Certified BPP Tax Roll consists of certified business
personal property records for the counties served by DCAD and is in sequence
by County Code. Accounts that were in value-in-dispute at the time of certification
are not included in this file. If requesting CD-ROM, the data is in report
format. Price is $205; price of CD-ROM is $115.
- A CD-ROM copy of the Commercial Worksheets produced after
the first mailing of appraisal notices but before the certification process
in street address sequence only. Price is $115.
- A CD-ROM copy of the Residential Worksheets produced after
the certification process in account number sequence only. Price is $115.
- The Certified Appraisal Master File consists of certified
residential and commercial records including all commercial child accounts
for Dallas County and the surrounding counties in which property is split
and is in sequence by account number. Accounts that were in value-in-dispute
at the time of certification are not included in this file. Price is $600.
- The Current Appraisal Master File consists of current
residential and commercial records including commercial child accounts for
Dallas County and surrounding counties that DCAD serves and is in sequence
by account number. This file can only be purchased after the first mailing
of real property appraisal notices and before the certification process.
Price is $600.
- The Exemption File consists of exemption information that
was provided to DCAD by the taxpayer and is in sequence by account number.
Price is $410.
- The Deed Transfer data consists of the most current deed
transfer information on properties that have changed ownership in Dallas
County. Price is $245.
- The Certified BPP Master File consists of certified business
personal property records for Dallas County and the surrounding counties
in which property is split and is in sequence by account number. Accounts
that were in value-in-dispute at the time of certification are not included
in this file. Price is $305.
- The Current BPP Master File consists of current business
personal property records for Dallas County and surrounding counties that
DCAD serves and is in sequence by account number. This file can only be
purchased after BPP appraisal notices have been mailed and before the certification
process. Price is $305.
